Abstract

ABSTRACT
In Indonesia, efforts to improve the health status of mothers and children are one of the priority programs. This is because maternal and child health problems are still one of the main problems in the health sector. Posyandu is one form of Community-Sourced Health Efforts (UKBM) which is managed and organized from, by, for and with the community in the implementation of health development. Weighing toddlers is very important for early detection of undernutrition and malnutrition status. Health counseling can affect mothers' knowledge of posyandu visits. Objective: To determine the effect of health education on maternal and child health on the knowledge and motivation of mothers on toddler posyandu. Methods: This study uses pre - experimental research with One - Group Pretest - Posttest Design research design. Sampling technique with probability sampling (random sampling) as many as 65 respondents. The results of this study showed a significant effect of health education on maternal and child health on maternal knowledge and motivation. Based on the Wilxocon statistical test, the p value of knowledge was 0.000 and the p value of motivation was 0.000, with p < α 0.05.
